Pearson Continues a WA Tradition
Congratulations to Western Australia’s Alex Pearson, who has been between the sticks for the Perth Glory Youth league team this year and was without doubt the man of the match in the grand final, despite the award going to Gold Coast’s Chris Harold, on being selected for the Young Socceroos.
They have a four match tour of South America taking on Paraguay and Argentina, and as one of only two ‘keepers in the squad he should get a game.
Pearson continues a great tradition of Western Australian goalkeepers gaining Australian honours, Robbie Zabica, Jason and Michael Petkovic, Brad Jones Vince Matassa and recently Tando Velaphi, to name a few.
